Arsenal have stepped up their interest in AC Milan winger Suso after they sent scouts to run the rule over him at the weekend.
The North Londoners sent representatives to watch the petite winger while he was in action for his Italian Serie A.
Sport Mediaset revealed that Arsenal scouts were in attendance during the game between Chievo and AC Milan.
Suso played for 84 minutes as he helped the Rossoneri to a 2-1 win over relegation-threatened Chievo.
The Spanish international player is not a stranger to the Premier League having played for Liverpool before moving to Italy.
The €40m-rated winger was linked with a move to Premier League sides like Arsenal and Chelsea before the winter transfer window but he managed to stay in Italy with AC Milan.
He would be a fantastic addition to the Arsenal setup under Unai Emery who’s very familiar with the player.
Arsenal have lacked traditional wingers in the first team for the better part of the last five years and a move for Suso will surely go a long way to solve that problem.
He could be a direct replacement for the injured Danny Welbeck whose Arsenal contract will expire at the end of this season with reports claiming that his contract won’t be renewed.
