Former Arsenal midfielder Robert Pires has thrown his weight behind his former club for the Europa League title this season.
The Arsenal legend believes that the Gunners have what it takes to win the Europa League and also finish in the top four at the end of the current Premier League season.
Robert Pires spoke to Spanish newspaper Marca about the Gunners and their Europa League potentials.
Arsenal have given themselves a fighting chance of finishing in the top four in the Premier League following their 2-0 win over rivals Manchester United on Sunday evening.
Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (penalty) scored either side of the halftime interval to give the Gunners a superb win over Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.
The win was enough to take Arsenal above the Red Devils into the top four and just a point within third-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
Arsenal are now one of the top two favourites for the remaining two Champions League spots for next season with Liverpool and Premier League champions Manchester City already guaranteed.
The Gunners still have work to do to progress into the last eight of the Europa League after they lost 3-1 to Rennes in the first leg of their last 16 tie.
They have to score at least two goals without reply in the second half to secure their spot in the quarterfinals.
