Paris Saint Germain (PSG) manager Thomas Tuchel has disclosed that there’s no logical explanation for their collapse against Manchester United in the Champions League.

Tuchel and PSG will face Dijon in a Ligue 1 clash in what’s their first game since their loss to Manchester United.

The German tactician was unable to explain how his team suffered a monumental collapse against the Red Devils.

At his press conference on Monday, Tuchel urged his side to bounce back from the Champions League debacle by finishing their Ligue 1 campaign strongly starting with Dijon on Tuesday.

PSG had beaten Manchester United 2-0 in the first leg meeting of their last 16 tie at Old Trafford courtesy goals from Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe.

The French giants were overwhelming favourites to secure a quarterfinal berth but they managed to blow their opportunity with a poor performance in the second leg at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

Belgian international striker Romelu Lukaku scored a first-half brace for Manchester United to give them a 2-1 lead at the halftime interval with Juan Bernat getting the goal for the home side.

Marcus Rashford then scored a controversial goal to send Manchester United into the quarterfinals via the away goals rule.
