English Premier League outfit Liverpool are arguably the best in terms of the defensive department in the league but they seem to be linked with more players in that department.

The period where the Reds lost some defenders to injury saw them struggled as Virgil Van Dijk lost his most compatible partner Joe Gomez. This might have forced manager Jurgen Klopp to move out for the signature of a defender ahead of the coming season.

However, the Reds have been linked with a move for Spanish La Liga outfit Real Sociedad central defender Diego Llorente and they are determined to land him by moving in with an offer at the end of the season.

Diego Llorente has got a release clause of about £45 million and has been suggested to be a cheap deal for the Merseyside outfit owing to the quality of the star player.

The Reds are not alone in the bid for Diego Llorente as it is claimed that Everton are also interested in landing the defender while Real Madrid are also considering the option of returning him to the club for a fee of £25 million.

Meanwhile, The Reds’ boss Jurgen Klopp had earlier made it clear that he will have more additions to the club ahead of the coming season.
