Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has revealed that the Eagles are not against the idea of an England invitation for young defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka who has been in very good form for the South London club.
Recent reports claim that Wan-Bissaka could be named on the England squad list for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Czech Republic and Montenegro.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is enjoying a breakthrough season at Crystal Palace after usurping the experienced Joel Ward as the first choice right-back at the club.
His form has gone unnoticed with several of the major Premier League sides with clubs like Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal linked with a move for him.
Arsenal need a new right-back following the long-term injury to first choice Hector Bellerin and Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be the man for the job.
On a possible invitation to the Three Lions of England squad, Roy Hodgson revealed that it would be fantastic for the 21-year-old to be given the honour to play for his country.
Hodgson was the England manager for four years between 2012 and 2016 and he warned that Wan-Bissaka has severe competition at right-back in his quest to earn a call-up to the senior national team setup with the trio of Kyle Walker (Manchester City), Kieran Trippier (Tottenham Hotspur) and Trent Alexander-Arnold all in front of him in the England right-back pecking order.
