West London outfit Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has spoken on the allegations that he has lost the dressing room and can no longer command respect from the players anymore.
This became serious in the Carabao Cup finals when his side clashed with Man City and were defeated in the penalty shootout. The Italian manager had substituted goalkeeper Arrizabalaga but he was openly disrespected as the stopper refused to leave the pitch in what turned out to be a drama.
The incident sparked a lot of reactions from pundits and fans which was related to the defeats suffered by the team in the last weeks.
The former Napoli manager has now come out to refute that claim as he stated that he is being respected by the players and he has absolute control despite all that happened.
He noted that the problem his team had was not of respect but that of mentality which was not enough to win games as he admits difficult times to winning games.
Sarri noted that the team has got the advantage of having two goalkeepers who are all with great quality which makes him have the freedom of choice; hence cannot be held by any single player.
