Premier League side Leicester City have been told that they will have to pay a whopping sum of £40m to sign midfielder Youri Tielemans permanently according to reports emanating from the British media.

Daily Mail claim that French giants AS Monaco are keen to recoup as much transfer fee as possible for the Belgian international midfielder.

Youri Tielemans is presently on a short-term loan to Leicester City from AS Monaco after joining the Foxes during the winter transfer window.

The 21-year-old was linked with a move to North London giants Arsenal before his loan transfer to the King Power Stadium.

He’s expected to stay at Leicester City between now and the end of the season.

Youri Tielemans has impressed a great deal in the handful of appearances made for the Foxes since his loan move and Leicester City are said to be open to the idea of making his loan transfer permanent.

Leicester City might have a rethink on that idea after they were quoted £40m for his transfer.

Youri Tielemans was one of the few standout players of a struggling AS Monaco team before his loan deal to the Premier League was sanctioned.

The new development concerning his value might put off Arsenal in case they have the intention of reviving their interest in the summer.
