Kepa Arizabalaga

There are suggestions that Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has been forgiven by the manager after what transpired in the Carabao Cup finals against Man City last weekend.

Kepa Arrizabalaga was meant to be substituted in the game but he publicly disrespected the Italian manager by refusing to leave the pitch despite the call for him from the touchline.

This made the former Napoli boss sanction the stopper by leaving him out of the London derby against Tottenham in the last game.

However, the star stopper has returned to the pith after serving his sanction which adds to the ban by the club that will have him sacrifice his last one week wage to the club so as to discourage other players from doing same.

Manager Maurizio Sarri has, therefore, hailed Kepa Arrizabalaga for returning the club back to winning ways as he noted that the star stopper was in good spirit as he was recalled back to return back to his first team position in the league table.

The former Napoli boss stated that noted that Kepa Arrizabalaga knows how to react to situations and will do well to help the club in subsequent games even as he will try to avoid other criticisms.
