Arsenal legend Ian Wright was highly critical of defender Shkodran Mustafi for his role in the Gunners’ North London Derby draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Ian Wright criticised German international Mustafi for his role in the equaliser scored by Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
The former Arsenal striker took to his Youtube channel to analyse the Gunners’ draw with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur including Mustafi’s culpability.
According to the former record goalscorer at Arsenal, Mustafi should have known better than foul Harry Kane in the Arsenal box despite the fact that the England national team captain was in an offside position which was not spotted by the officials.
Harry Kane made no mistake from the penalty spot as he scored the equaliser in the 74th minute to earn his team a share of the spoils.
Arsenal had taken a first-half lead through Aaron Ramsey who played in his last North London Derby for the Gunners.
Welsh international Ramsey has already signed a pre-contract agreement with Italian champions Juventus and he’s expected to join them in the summer.
Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang came off the bench and he had the chance to give his side a late win but the Gabonese international had his penalty saved by Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
