All hope is now lost for West London outfit Chelsea as far as the English Premier League title is concerned going by the words of manager Maurizio Sarri.
The former Napoli boss now admits it is difficult to break into the top four in the English league as he earlier anticipated, as he wished to end the season in the third position ahead of Tottenham.
It would be recalled that the Italian boss’ team was a title contender at the start of the season with their winning streak but that is no longer the situation with the number of defeats they have suffered in the past few weeks.
He noted that the Premier League is a difficult one and has been joined by the rigorous fixtures of the FA Cup, Carabao up and the Europa League fixtures.
However, manager Maurizio Sarri is hoping that North London outfit Tottenham can join in the race for the top-four finish so his team can cross over to the third position in the league so as to avoid any controversies.
He, therefore, noted that it remains a difficult task but his side can still achieve that with that hard work and consistency in their coming games.
