Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has showered high praise on Red Devils star Romelu Lukaku for the way he has been able to adapt his game to the demands of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Berbatov told BetFair that he has been impressed with Lukaku’s versatility in attack.
Romelu Lukaku has played second fiddle to young Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford since Solskjaer became the interim manager in December.
The 25-year-old has played alongside Rashford in some games and he has also been shifted to play a support role from the wings in other games.
He utilised his opportunity to play as a lone central striker during the week following the injury to main striker Marcus Rashford.
England international Rashford suffered a slight ankle injury during Sunday’s goalless draw at home to Manchester United thus giving Lukaku the opportunity to shine.
Lukaku took advantage as he netted a brace to lead Manchester United to a 3-1 win at the home of London club Crystal Palace.
Ashley Young got the other goal for the Red Devils, while Joel Ward scored the lone strike for the hosts.
Marcus Rashford came off the bench as a late substitute in that game.
Lukaku and Rashford are likely to start together for the upcoming league clash with Southampton.
