Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk has hinted that more goals should be expected from him in coming games as he wishes to help his team deliver the Premier League title later this season.
The Dutch central defender was with a brace in the midweek 5-0 win against Watford and he is thinking of having a continuation of the goal scoring form until the end of the season.
Virgil Van Dijk joined the Anfield from Southampton and has progressed to become one of the best defenders in the English League with four goals to his name in 56 appearances for the Reds.
He has, therefore, vowed that more should be expected from him in subsequent games, starting from the Everton derby game.
Virgil Van Dijk added that he could score more of the aerial balls, stressing that the opponents are already aware of that which is why he is usually marked by their best header in games.
However, he expressed delight to have scored two goals on Wednesday which he said was a good lift for him and his team.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are currently sitting top on the league table with a point above Man City. A win will help them maintain their push until the end of the season.
