Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell has ruled out a transfer away from the club despite intense transfer rumours linking him with a move to major Premier League sides like Manchester City and Arsenal.

England international Chilwell told Sky Sports that Leicester City players including him are not looking for the exit with Brendan Rodgers now in charge of the team.

Leicester City sacked Frenchman Claude Puel on Sunday after his team were beaten 4-1 by London club Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium 24 hours earlier.

Puel was replaced by Brendan Rodgers who left Scottish champions Celtic to take up the Leicester City managerial job.

His appointment was confirmed by the club on Tuesday night and Rodgers was in attendance as Leicester City defeated Brighton and Hove Albion 2-1at home.

Several Leicester City players were linked with the exit door while Claude Puel was in charge of the team.

Ben Chilwell has been touted as a possible transfer addition for both Manchester City and Arsenal.

The Gunners are looking to strengthen the left-back position when the summer transfer window reopens and the 22-year-old has been identified as one of the targets for the job.

Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac are the first choice left-backs in the Arsenal team.
