North London giants Arsenal are plotting a €5m move for Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Martinelli according to reports emanating from the media in the United Kingdom.
Gabriel Martinelli plays his club football for Brazilian Paulista side Ituano.
Goal claim that the Gunners are ready to pay as much as €5m to secure the transfer of the young midfielder.
Gabriel Martinelli, 17, has impressed a great deal in the lower leagues in Brazil and his quality has not gone unnoticed with other Brazilian clubs like Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Santos, Flamengo and Palmeiras.
The player is valued at around €10m which could be out of the reach of the above mentioned Brazilian sides thus leaving Arsenal as clear favourites for the player.
The Gunners have had recent success in the addition of young midfielders like Gabriel Martinelli to the Arsenal squad.
Arsenal signed young midfielders Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira last summer and both players have been very impressive for the Gunners in what’s their debut campaign for the club.
Lucas Torreira, 22, joined Arsenal from Italian Serie A club Sampdoria in a £26m deal and the Uruguayan international has been an instant hit with the Arsenal fans.
Matteo Guendouzi, 19, signed for the Gunners from French club Lorient for just £7m.
