Three Arsenal players have been named in the Premier League Team of the Week for Matchweek 28 games.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were all named in the team of the week compiled by popular media outlet Goal.
The three players contributed immensely to the Gunners’ 5-1 win over Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.
Mkhitaryan, Ozil and Aubameyang were all on the scoresheet for the big win.
The result was more than enough to maintain the Gunners’ spot in the top four of the Premier League.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored one and provided two assists as he continued his fantastic form for Arsenal in recent league games.
Mesut Ozil scored the first goal of the game against the Cherries and also provided the assist for the second goal scored by the aforementioned Mkhitaryan.
Gabonese international Aubameyang scored in the second half to put the hosts 4-1 ahead against the South Coast club.
Other players named on the Team of the Week include Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil Van Dijk and Sadio Mane (Liverpool), Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Gylfi Sigurdsson (Everton), Oleksandr Zinchenko (Manchester City) and David Luiz (Chelsea) who marshalled the Blues backline in their 2-0 home win over Tottenham Hotspur.
