Former Champions League finalists Arsenal have received a big boost in their pursuit of highly rated AS Roma winger Cengiz Under following the news that the Italians want to sell the player if they get the right offer for him.
Goal claim that AS Roma could sell the young Turkish forward with several European clubs keen on a transfer for him.
It was also revealed that the Italian capital club want to reinforce their squad with the transfer fee from a possible sale.
Arsenal might have to spend as much as £55m to sign the Turkish winger as confirmed by recent reports.
Cengiz Under has been an important player for AS Roma since he joined them from Turkish Super Lig outfit Istanbul Basaksehir at the start of last season.
However, it must be pointed out that focus has slightly shifted to another youngster Nicolo Zaniolo who was instrumental to Roma’s win over FC Porto in the first leg of their last 16 tie in the Champions League.
Zaniolo, 19, scored a brace to lead AS Roma to a 2-1 win over their Portuguese opponents at the Stadio Olimpico earlier this month.
Both sides meet again for the second leg in Portugal next month.
