Arsenal have reportedly joined the race to sign Napoli midfielder Piotr Zelinski who has been one of the standout midfielders in Italian Serie A this season.
The 24-year-old has previously been linked with Premier League title contenders Liverpool having come close to joining the Reds in 2016 while he was on the books of Italian Serie A club Udinese.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is said to be a big fan of the Polish international star.
Piotr Zelinksi faced Liverpool this season in the Champions League with the Reds securing a knockout stage spot ahead of Napoli at the end of proceedings in Group C.
Daily Mirror revealed the interest of the Gunners in Zelinski who could cost around £60m.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery is eyeing a long-term replacement for the outgoing Aaron Ramsey who’s expected to join Italian champions Juventus this summer.
Ramsey, 28, has signed a pre-contract agreement with the Italians.
He has signed a four-year contract reportedly worth £400,000 weekly wages before tax.
Piotr Zelinski could be the man to replace Aaron Ramsey at Arsenal especially if Arsenal decide against making the loan contract of Denis Suarez permanent.
Denis Suarez joined Arsenal from Barcelona on loan for the rest of the season in January.
