West London outfit Chelsea have received the go-ahead to land the signature of Argentina forward Gonzalo Higuain after the Italian Serie A outfit Juventus hinted they have no plans to retain him at the club.
Gonzalo Higuain was loaned out from the Turin club to the San Siro to join Serie A outfit AC Milan before his switch to the Stamford Bridge in the last winter transfer window after a major pressing by the Blues boss Maurizio Sarri.
Calcio Mercato reports that Juventus will not keep Gonzalo Higuain at the club which means he would not be returning back to Turin with the West London outfit also interested in keeping him as he is being loved by the Italian boss.
The Blues will not have the opportunity of strengthening their attack with the Argentina international also seeking a move to the English Premier League where he hopes to have a new challenge.
However, the Blues have been forced to go against their policy as they do not hand more than a year contract extension to players who are more than 30 years old.
Meanwhile, the Blues have suffered a lack of cutting edge in their attack which is the reason why they seek for more additions.
