It has been reported that West London outfit Chelsea have fined goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga a week’s wages after he openly embarrassed his manager Maurizio Sarri at Wembley in the Carabao Cup finals on Sunday.

Kepa Arrizabalaga had publicly refused to be substituted towards the end of the extra-time in the finals against Man City which the West London outfit later lost on Penalties.

Maurizio Sarri was standing on the touchline for Kepa Arrizabalaga to be submitted for Willy Caballero but he refused, insisting he would go the penalty shootout.

Kepa Arrizabalaga is reported to have apologised to the manager with the Italian boss admitting that they held talks and what happened was a misunderstanding.

However, it is now claimed that the star stopper has been fined but it is revealed that he had requested the fine as he feels sorry for the embarrassment.

Kepa Arrizabalaga apologised openly to his teammate who was supposed to be subbed in to take the penalty shootouts.

It is not clear if there would be other punishment for Kepa Arrizabalaga but the former Napoli boss has been advised to hand him a bench role to be able to prove that he is n charge of the team and not players.
