Chelsea star player Cesar Azpilicueta has told his teammates to move on from the defeat against Man City in the Carabao Cup finals on Sunday but focus on their improved performance and ensure its consistency.
The West London outfit were understood to have played better in the game, holding the Pep Guardiola team in the entire 90 minutes but they could not win the game so they were defeated 4-3 on penalty kicks.
Before the Sunday game, the Blues had suffered a 6-0 defeat against Man City in the Premier League tie before suffering another 2-0 defeat against Man United in the FA Cup which has raised lots of concerns.
But Cesar Azpilicueta thinks his team performed better in the finals on Sunday and urge his teammates to do more in coming games and be consistent as well.
Admitting that he is disappointed his team failed to win the title despite coming close, he said it is time to recover from the defeat and move on to save their season, especially in the Premier League.
Cesar Azpilicueta stressed that the focus has to be shifted to the Europa League and also a top-four finish so as to qualify for the Champions League next season.
