Paris Saint Germain (PSG) chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has revealed that star player Neymar will stay at the club despite transfer reports linking the Brazilian international player with a move to England or Spain.
Al-Khelaifi told French media outlet, Le Parisien, that Neymar and fellow forward Kylian Mbappe won’t leave the club 2,000 per cent.
Earlier reports had claimed that PSG might need to sell either Neymar or Mbappe due to financial fair play regulations but those fears were put to bed by the PSG supremo.
Ex-Santos forward Neymar became the most expensive footballer in history at the start of last season after PSG paid the €220m (£200m) release clause in his then contract at Spanish champions Barcelona.
He has been linked with a return to Spain with former club Barcelona and Real Madrid though Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu has ruled out a move for him.
Neymar has also been touted as a possible transfer addition for Premier League giants Manchester United.
He’s currently out injured after suffering a foot injury in a French Cup clash with Strasbourg in January.
Neymar is not expected back until at least March.
Mbappe also joined PSG last season like Neymar but initially on a loan deal before the transfer was made permanent last year.
