Arsenal manager Unai Emery has debunked transfer rumours linking midfielder Matteo Guendouzi with a move back to France.
The Spanish tactician addressed that transfer reports in his post-match press conference after his Arsenal side secured the last 16 spot in the Europa League with a 3-1 aggregate win over Belarusian club BATE Borisov in their last 32 tie.
When asked about a possible PSG transfer for the young midfielder, Unai Emery said he was surprised with the transfer reports linking Matteo Guendouzi with a move to Parc des Princes as he reiterated that the player is a big part of his plans at Arsenal.
Unai Emery was the PSG manager for two seasons between 2016 and 2018.
His Arsenal thrashed BATE Borisov 3-0 at home in what was their second leg clash to overturn the 1-0 deficit from the first leg in Belarus.
Arsenal will now face French club Rennes in the next stage for the right to qualify for the quarterfinals.
Matteo Guendouzi started the BATE game on Thursday night before he was replaced by Lucas Torreira in the second half.
The 19-year-old has been linked with a whopping £60m deal to PSG after impressing in his first season with the Gunners following his £7m move from Lorient last summer.
