North London club Tottenham Hotspur want to re-sign Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale according to reports emanating from the media in the European nation of Spain.
Don Balon claim that Spurs are ready to offer midfielder Christian Eriksen in a player-plus-cash deal for Welsh international star Bale.
Real Madrid and Manchester United have been strongly linked with a swoop for Danish midfielder Eriksen in recent weeks with his long-term future at Tottenham Hotspur in doubt.
Eriksen has 18 months left on his current deal with Tottenham Hotspur and his agent has already confirmed that contract talks are off the table until the summer at least and that his client is only focused on the football aspect of things.
Real Madrid player Gareth Bale was at Tottenham Hotspur until he sealed a then world-record transfer to Spain in the summer of 2013.
The European champions were said to have paid £85.3m to secure his transfer from Spurs.
The 29-year-old came close to joining Manchester United before Real Madrid won the race to sign him.
