Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic has revealed how he snubbed Premier League giants Manchester United to stay in Turin.

The 28-year-old midfielder spoke about the Red Devils’ interest in an interview with II Giornale.

Miralem Pjanic confirmed that there were strong interest from other European sides Barcelona and Manchester United but he didn’t have to think much before opting to stay at Juventus.

The Bosnian international also went on to commit his long-term future to his Italian Serie A club by signing a new five-year contract at the Juventus Stadium.

He’s very happy with his decision to stay at Juventus which has afforded him the opportunity to play with Cristiano Ronaldo whom he praised during the aforementioned interview.

Miralem Pjanic commended the positive impact of Cristiano Ronaldo since his club-record transfer from European champions Real Madrid last summer.

Ronaldo joined the Italians for a fee believed to be around €100m plus add-ons.

The 33-year-old has starred for Juventus in their run to the top of the Italian Serie A table.

Juventus are also in contention for the Champions League title with many pundits tipping the Old Lady to win a first European title for 23 years.

The last triumph came during the 1995/96 season.
