Three-time European champions Manchester United have been handed a big transfer boost in the wake of the news that striker Romelu Lukaku was left out of the transfer shortlist for Italian Serie A champions Juventus.
Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku is said to favour a move to Juventus if the Red Devils decide to sell him in the summer.
Recent reports had claimed that Manchester United have opened talks with two Serie A stars in their quest to sign a new striker that will almost certainly replace the aforementioned Lukaku this summer.
The Red Devils have opened talks over the potential transfer of Juventus forward Paulo Dybala and unsettled Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi.
Argentine international attacker Icardi was the prominent name on the Juventus shortlist made known by the club’s sporting director Fabio Paratici.
Paratici talked about Juventus’ transfer targets while he was on Radio Rai in Italy.
Mauro Icardi has been in the news for the better part of the last week after he was dropped as the Inter Milan captain.
Other players on the Juventus shortlist include Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa, young AS Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo as well as Cagliari Calcio star Nicolo Barella.
