It has been suggested that Liverpool have got a player who ought to be hailed at all time but that is not happening yet as others are given the praise ahead of him, as far as this season is concerned.
Liverpool legend Phils Thompson has stated that the Reds midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is the unsung hero in the current Liverpool side but that honour has not been given to him.
According to him, Georginio Wijnaldum has impressed the most so far this season despite having reasons to relent as a result of the summer additions which came as a threat to his position. The likes of Fabinho and Naby Keita were brought in but they could not relegate him to the bench.
The Reds legend recalls that there was a player in his time named Ray Kennedy who was not a favourite of the fans but the players in the team knew how important he was in the team, noting that Georginio Wijnaldum is such a player who should have his name top the team sheet.
Georginio Wijnaldum is hailed to be very intelligent and having the ability to deliver the best as far as his role on the pitch is concerned.
