Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has ruled out a comeback for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) superstar Neymar.
Bartomeu dampened transfer rumours of a possible Barcelona return for the Brazilian international player during an interview with Spanish radio station Radio Kanal Barcelona.
The Barcelona supremo said that he has met Neymar on a few occasions and that neither the player or his representatives have told him that the ex-Santos attacker wants to return to the Nou Camp.
He further said that he can’t imagine that PSG want to sell Neymar and that they didn’t want to let him go but the club was at a disadvantage because of the release clause which is not the same with French clubs like PSG.
Bartomeu went on to say that the club has moved on to the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele and that they want to concentrate on the two players who are their biggest investments till date.
Neymar has been linked with a possible return to Barcelona just two years after he controversially left in a €220m (£200m) transfer in 2017.
Real Madrid and Manchester United have also been touted as a potential transfer destination for him.
Recent reports claim that Neymar’s representatives have told Manchester United officials that they are in the running to sign him.
