Manchester United have made the signing of a new centre back their top priority this summer and the Red Devils have fixated their searchlight on the Italian Serie A in a bid to achieve this.
Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar has been one the transfer shortlist of the Red Devils for the better part of the last year.
Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly and Sampdoria player Joachim Andersen are also part of the defensive transfer options at Old Trafford.
According to a report from the Independent, Milan Skriniar is the most likely defender to end up as a new centre back signing in the summer.
The 24-year-old has been in very good form for the Nerazzurri since he joined the club from fellow Italian Serie A club Sampdoria at the start of last season.
Inter Milan paid a whopping sum of £20m to secure his transfer from Sampdoria in the summer of 2017.
Recent reports claim that Inter Milan want to offer Milan Skriniar a pay rise to ward off the interest of clubs like Manchester United.
Incidentally, Joachim Andersen replaced Skriniar at Sampdoria when he left the club to join Inter and the Danish defender is also on the radar of the Red Devils.
