There are suggestions that manager Maurizio Sarri was right about his criticism of his players’ lack of motivation after the analysis by Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher.

The Blues team were again shattered by English Premier League defending champions Man City by 6-0 and that has got everyone talking about the Chelsea side.

The pundit on Monday attested to what the manager had earlier said after the Blues lost 2-0 to their North London rivals Arsenal when he claimed that the players lacked motivation.

Now, Jamie Carragher stated that the players lacked intensity against the Pep Guardiola team and looked like “mannequins”.

According to him, what is seen of the Chelsea team is similar with the case of Arsenal when they were being battered by most big teams, stressing that it os not just sad that they lost but how they lost those games.

Jamie Carragher stated that it is high time for Chelsea players to start looking after each other and fight as a team.

He noted that they played like they were still on the training pitch without any sense of competitiveness.

However, Chelsea are expected to return back to winning ways when the clash with Malmo at the Europa League on Thursday.
