North London giants Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly plotting a summer move for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
This is according to the publication from popular Italian media outlet Football Italia which claimed that Spurs will try to sign the Croatian World Cup star.
Ivan Perisic was part of the Croatia squad that impressed a great deal at last summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
The 30-year-old was on target in the final of the aforementioned tournament but he was unable to prevent Croatia from a 4-2 defeat at the hands of eventual champions France.
Ivan Perisic was linked with a loan move to Spurs’ arch rivals Arsenal throughout the just concluded January transfer window but the move didn’t happen after Inter Milan rejected the loan bid from the Gunners in favour of a permanent transfer.
Arsenal were unable to match the Italians’ request for a permanent transfer.
Tottenham Hotspur were also keen on the player in January but their interest didn’t graduate into a bid.
They are eyeing a summer bid for him after club manager Mauricio Pochettino was impressed with the player during their group stage campaign in the Champions League.
Spurs finished ahead of Inter Milan in second place to book a spot in the last 16 of the Champions League against German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.
