Newly signed Bordeaux midfielder Yacine Adli has revealed that he has no regret for turning down a move to Arsenal at the start of the season.
The French midfielder talked about North London club Arsenal in his first interview with Le Parisien as a Bordeaux player.
Adli, 18, joined French Ligue 1 club Bordeaux from rivals Paris Saint Germain (PSG) on the last day of the January transfer window.
Former Ligue 1 champions Bordeaux paid €5.5m for his transfer with a 40% sell-on clause inserted into his contract.
Yacine Adli had offers from Arsenal and German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich last summer but he opted to stay with PSG as he signed a new contract at the Parc des Princes.
The young French midfielder renewed his contract at PSG with the hope that he would be given more first team opportunities under new manager Thomas Tuchel but he didn’t make any single appearance in the league until he left the club for Bordeaux on January 31.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery handed him his only league appearance in a PSG shirt at the end of last season.
He made his debut as an 83rd-minute substitute for Christopher Nkunku in the last league game of last season.
