Georgia international midfielder Jano Ananidze has revealed how his club didn’t tell him about an offer from North London giants Arsenal.
Jano Ananidze plays his club football for Russian Premier League club Spartak Moscow though he recently joined fellow top flight club Krylia Sometov Samara on loan in January 2019.
In his recent interview with Championat, the attacking midfielder revealed that he had offers from other countries before adding that Premier League side Arsenal made an offer that was kept away from him.
Jano Ananidze further said that he made the decision to stay with Spartak Moscow for the 2018/19 season before joining Krylia Sometov last month.
Apart from Arsenal, the Georgian international star was previously linked with the Spanish duo of Sevilla and Valencia as well as the Italian Serie A duo of Juventus and AC Milan.
He has scored nine goals in 48 appearances for the Georgian senior national team.
In 2009, Jano Ananidze was one of the most exciting young prospects in Europe as he was dubbed the next ‘Georgi Kinkaladze’.
As a 17-year-old, the Georgian player was touted as a possible addition to the Premier League but the move didn’t happen.
Aninadze has scored 12 goals in 116 appearances for Spartak Moscow in the Russian Premier League.
