German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are leading the race for in-form Lille winger Nicolas Pepe according to latest reports emanating from the French media.
According to French news outlet Le 10 Sport, the Bavarian giants are the favourites to land the highly rated Ivorian international player ahead of other interested clubs like Arsenal.
Lille have capitalised on his sensational form this season by slapping an €85m asking price on him.
He has scored 16 league goals in 23 appearances for Lille in this campaign and only Paris Saint Germain (PSG) star Kylian Mbappe has more goals in the French top flight with 18 goals.
In the top five leagues in Europe, only Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo (17 goals) and Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi (21 goals) have scored more than the impressive Pepe.
His Lille form has propelled the club into the top two places on the French Ligue 1 table.
Apart from Bayern Munich and Arsenal, Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona and Premier League champions Manchester City have all been linked with the player.
The 23-year-old would be a fantastic addition to the Arsenal setup if the Gunners could secure his transfer from Lille.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery is keen to bolster his team in attack and Pepe represents a quality option for him.
