Arsenal To Revive Interest In Christopher Nkunku

Former Premier League winners Arsenal will revive their interest in Paris Saint Germain (PSG) midfielder Christopher Nkunku when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

This is according to the publication from the popular English media outlet The Sun.

Christopher Nkunku came close to signing for the Gunners during the just concluded winter transfer window but the move didn’t happen after PSG failed to sign a replacement for him.

Arsenal had agreed on a loan transfer for the talented French midfielder with the option to buy him permanently in the summer on the condition that PSG can get a replacement for him.

The French giants targeted Everton midfielder Idrissa ‘Gana’ Gueye as his replacement potentially but the Toffees were adamant that their player is not for sale.

Christopher Nkunku was keen to reunite with Arsenal manager Unai Emery whom he played for at PSG last season.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season for PSG under the guidance of Unai Emery.

He has not been able to convince current PSG manager Thomas Tuchel to give him the amount of playing time that he enjoyed under Unai Emery.

Both parties (Nkunku and Unai Emery) could still reunite in the summer with Arsenal able to get him for a small transfer fee due to the fact that he has one year left on his current deal with PSG.
