How “impossible” message spells doom to Chelsea’s next summer window

Ivan Rakitic

It is obvious that the West London outfit Chelsea are not satisfied with their transfer dealings in the last winter transfer window and they are already looking ahead of the coming summer window.

One major department that needs to be strengthened is the midfield especially after the Blues lost Spanish star Cesc Fabregas to French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco.

Efforts are being made to replace him with an attempt to have Leandro Paredes failing and that is why the West London outfit turned their attention on Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic.

It was resolved that the Blues will return for his signature in the coming summer but there seem to have been a development which spells doom on Chelsea’s hope on the star player.

Ivan Rakitic’s agent Arturo Canales who spoke to Gazzetta Dello Sport said it is impossible for his client to leave Spain this coming summer window as he dismissed speculations possible Barcelona exit.

This, therefore, means that the West London side will have to look out for other targets so as to prepare a bid ahead of the summer window.

However, the major target of the Blues team is to finish fourth in the Premier League table so as to secure qualification for Champions League.
