Chelsea newcomer Gonzalo Higuain has been tipped to be a success at the Stamford Bridge only if the Blues boss Maurizio Sarri can follow the examples of Liverpool and Man City, according to former player Pat Nevin.

Gonzalo Higuain arrived the West London outfit on the last day of the winter transfer window ad he is quick to have scored a brace in their English Premier League game on Saturday.

A lot of positives have been drawn from his performance in the game but the former player thinks are things needed to be done by the Italian manager to have Gonzalo Higuain score a lot of goals.

He noted that clubs like Liverpool and Man City always get to the byline regularly in their possession football which is not being done by the Blues at the moment.

He added that if that is done, the strikers will always get chances to score a number of goals per game.

However, the former Blues player stated that Gonzalo Higuain is a good player and his best would be seen after he must have adapted to the style and environment.

Meanwhile, Gonzalo Higuain is expected to have a permanent switch to the Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
