Premier League giants Manchester United are eyeing a move for highly rated Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks according to various media reports in the United Kingdom.

Manchester Evening News (MEN) claim that the Red Devils want to sign the Cherries midfielder when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

David Brooks has been in very good form for Bournemouth in his first campaign at the club.

The 21-year-old joined the South Coast club from English Championship side Sheffield United at the start of this season.

He has scored six goals and also provided four assists for the Cherries in 21 games in the Premier League.

His latest strike came on Wednesday night when he scored one of the goals as Bournemouth thrashed Chelsea 4-0.

David Brooks and his Bournemouth teammate handed Chelsea their heaviest defeat in the Premier League for over two decades.

The talented midfielder is out of action at the moment after he sustained an ankle injury that will rule him out for the whole of February.

It remains to be seen whether Bournemouth will sanction his exit from the club when the summer transfer window reopens in the summer.

He was sorely missed as Bournemouth lost 2-0 to Premier League relegation candidates Cardiff City.
