Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalleti has narrated how Premier League giants Arsenal deceived winger Ivan Perisic with a non-existent offer.
In his latest interview monitored by Rai Sport, the Italian tactician talked about how Ivan Perisic had his head turned with the imaginary offer from the Gunners.
According to him, the Croatian international player was conned by the Gunners after he was told about an offer that was imaginary at best.
Arsenal were heavily linked with a move for Ivan Perisic in the final days of the just concluded winter transfer window but the Gunners were unable to pull off the signing.
Sky Italia had earlier revealed that the Gunners made a loan offer of around £4.4m to take Perisic for the rest of this campaign with the option to sign him permanently for £35m.
Some reports claim that Arsenal added a penalty fee to the first offer rejected by Inter Milan.
The penalty fee is in the event that Arsenal don’t sign him at the end of the proposed six-month loan contract.
Inter Milan were reluctant to do any other deal except a permanent one for Ivan Perisic who has endured a frustrating season upon his return from a sensational World Cup outing.
