European champions Real Madrid are planning an ambitious move for in-form Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford according to reports in the British media.
The Liverpool Echo claim that the Champions League holders still harbor hopes of signing in-form Rashford despite the fact that the England international player is in talks with the Red Devils about a contract extension at the club.
Real Madrid are ready to spend as much as £100m in their quest to sign the player which has just 18 months left on his current deal with Manchester United through the Red Devils can exercise the option of an extra year in that contract thus taking Marcus Rashford to the end of the 2020/21 season at Old Trafford.
Real Madrid are long-term admirers of the young striker alongside Italian Serie A giants Juventus who have also been touted as a potential transfer destination for the 21-year-old.
It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will be able to tempt Marcus Rashford following the unceremonious exit of Jose Mourinho.
Marcus Rashford was said to be fed up with life under Jose Mourinho and was keen to leave the club.
He has enjoyed an upturn in form since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho as the Manchester United manager.
Rashford has scored eight goals in this season’s Premier League.
