It is the transfer deadline day and a number of clubs are trying to take advantage of the rush hour to secure a deal and English Premier League outfit Chelsea are hoping to be a part of it.

A report according to The Mirror claims the West London side will make a last-minute attempt to snap up Watford Midfielder Abdoulaye Doucouré.
Following the departure of Spanish midfielder Cesc Fàbregas, Blues boss Maurizio Sarri gave the hint that he would be moving in for a replacement and Abdoulaye Doucouré could be the answer.

The West London side have longed been linked with the defender but there has been delay in sealing a deal for him.

Speculations became more intense when the Frenchman was left out of Watford’s 2-1 defeat to Tottenham on Wednesday night but it has been dismissed by manager Hornets boss Javi Gracia who said Abdoulaye Doucouré’s absence was as a result of a keen injury he sustained.

French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain were earlier linked with Abdoulaye Doucouré but they seem to have cooled down their interest in him.

With the Blues on the verge of losing England international Gary Cahill, there is a need to secure a replacement for him with Abdoulaye Doucouré.
