North London giants Arsenal have opened talks with Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang over a move for attacker Yannick-Ferreira Carrasco according to reports emanating from the British media.
According to Sky Sports, the Gunners want to sign former Atletico Madrid and AS Monaco player Carrasco after Inter Milan failed to let Ivan Perisic leave the club on loan.
Arsenal firmed up their interest in Croatian international Perisic with a loan bid at the weekend but they have been rebuffed by the Nerazzurri who are only interested in a permanent exit for their player.
The Gunners were said to have offered a €5m (£4.4m) fee for a short-term loan deal for Perisic until the end of this campaign with the option to sign the player permanently in the summer.
Inter Milan want a permanent deal for Ivan Perisic before they can sanction the exit of the 29-year-old winger.
Earlier this week, Inter Milan CEO (Chief Executive Officer) Beppe Marotta revealed that they have not received a suitable offer for Ivan Perisic.
Arsenal have shifted their focus to Carrasco due to the stance taken by Inter Milan on a loan move for Perisic with Chinese club Dalian Yifang open to a loan move for the Belgian player with the option to buy permanently in the summer.
