Guingamp forward Marcus Thuram has been attracting the interest of Premier League giants Arsenal in this winter transfer window.
Marcus Thuram, 21, is the son of French football legend Lilian Thuram who won the World Cup title with France.
Lilian Thuram was a key member of the French squad that won the World Cup title at the 1998 edition on home soil.
The ex-Juventus and Barcelona defender was influential For France in the semifinals as he scored two goals to help his country overturn a deficit against stubborn Croatia.
His goals proved to be the difference between the two teams as France won 2-1 to seal a final meeting with the Brazilians.
His son came through the Sochaux youth setup before joining Guingamp in 2017.
According to the publication from Teamtalk, Arsenal are stepping up their interest in the young forward.
Lilian Thuram has been the only shining light for a Guingamp team that’s rooted to the bottom of the French Ligue 1 table with just 14 points since the start of the season.
He has netted 10 goals and provided an assist in 20 league games this season.
Apart from Arsenal, other Premier League clubs like Newcastle United, Cardiff City and Brighton are also interested in him.
