Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has revealed that he wants to stay at the club despite transfer rumors linking him with a move to the Premier League.

He spoke about his Barcelona future during his post-match reaction to the La Liga giants’ Copa Del Rey victory over Sevilla.

Ivan Rakitic was on target as Barcelona thrashed Sevilla 6-1 to seal a 6-3 win on aggregate in their quarterfinal tie.

He scored the second goal for the defending champions who were rampant against former Europa League winners Sevilla.

The Croatian played 76 minutes before he was replaced by retired Chilean international Arturo Vidal.

Speaking after the Copa Del Rey clash with his former club, Ivan Rakitic reiterated his desire to stay with the Nou Camp outfit before adding that he has hinted the club’s president about the possibility of putting pen to paper on a contract extension.

Ivan Rakitic signed for Barcelona from Sevilla in the summer of 2014.

The 2018 World Cup star played a major role for the Catalans in their 2014/15 Champions League winning team.

Ivan Rakitic has won three Spanish La Liga titles in his time at Barcelona.
