Leicester City have reportedly agreed on a £20m transfer fee with AS Monaco for midfielder Youri Tielemans who has been strongly linked with other Premier League sides including Arsenal and Manchester United.
Sky Sports revealed that the Foxes have a £20m agreement with French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco for the 21-year-old midfielder.
Three Premier League clubs namely Arsenal, West Ham United and Newcastle United have asked about the player’s availability on loan.
The Gunners want to boost their squad ahead of their chase for the top four in the Premier League as well as the hunt for Europa League glory.
Arsenal have been restricted to loan deals in this winter transfer window due to financial fair play measures though they have recorded some form of success following the news that Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez is in London to finalise his move to the club.
The Gunners have agreed on a loan deal for the player until the end of this season with the option to buy him at the end of his loan spell at the Emirates Stadium.
Youri Tielemans would be a fantastic addition to the Arsenal midfield though it might be difficult to secure his transfer from a struggling Monaco team under newly restored manager Leonardo Jardim.
