English Premier League outfit Chelsea are hopeful to seal the signature of Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake before the end of this winter transfer window.

The West London outfit are in contention with Man United, Man City and Liverpool for the Premier League defensive rock but they are hopeful that a deal would be sealed to have Nathan Ake return to the Stamford Bridge again.

Chelsea have got a need for solid defenders and that is why they have turned their attention to Nathan Ake as they are set to lose Gary Cahill and Andreas Christensen who are both pushing to leave the club as a result of lack of playing time.

It is reported that manager Maurizio Sarri is a big fan of Nathan Ake and he will do anything possible to have him join the Stamford Bridge.

It would be recalled that Nathan Ake was a Blues before he was sold to Bournemouth in 2017 for a fee of £22 million but to the shock of everyone he became a different and improved player which has attracted his former owners.

However, reports claim that the West London team will make another attempt for Nathan Ake in the coming summer window should they fail in this winter window.
