Negotiations are already ongoing to have Lazar Markovic leave Liverpool before this January winter transfer window comes to an end, according to reports.

Lazar Markovic has been able to meet up with the demands at the English Premier League outfit and he has been declared surplus to requirement.

The last time Lazar Markovic played a competitive game in the Reds shirt was over three-and-half years, the reason why manager Jurgen Klopp wants him out of the club.

Lazar Markovic who arrived the Anfield from Benfica in the summer of 2014 for a fee of about £20 million had 34 appearances in his debut season and scored three goals.

That was the last of Lazar Markovic at the Anfield as he failed to wit eh growing competition in the team over the years.

Since then, Lazar Markovic has had five different loan spells to Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon, Hull City and Anderlecht.

However, it has been reported that the Reds are already speaking to suitors and a deal could be announced for Lazar Markovic before the Thursday winter transfer deadline.

The Liverpool team under German manager Jurgen Klopp has been very solid since last season and that has placed them on the right track to winning a title.
