Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is edging closer to a transfer to China according to reports emanating from England.

Sky Sports sources claim that Manchester United are in negotiations with a Chinese club over his transfer.

Media outlet HLN revealed that Shandong Luneng is the Chinese club in talks with the Red Devils over a move for the Belgian international midfielder.

Marouane Fellaini was recently part of the Belgium squad that finished third at last summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

Belgium national team manager Roberto Martinez oversaw a third-place finish via a 2-0 victory over England in their 3rd/4th place playoff.

It was revealed that Shandong Luneng wants to secure the transfer of Marouane Fellaini as soon as possible.

Fellaini has been on the fringes of the Red Devils team since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over as the interim manager.

The former Everton midfielder is currently out of action after picking up a calf injury.

His playing time under Solskjaer has taken a massive hit in contrast to what he enjoyed while Jose Mourinho was the Manchester United manager.

Mourinho was dismissed from that role during the second week of last month after a disastrous start to the current campaign.
