Inter Milan forward Ivan Perisic has submitted a transfer request as he tries to force his way out of the club in this winter transfer window.
His transfer request was confirmed by experienced football administrator Beppe Marotta.
Marotta is the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Inter Milan having joined Nerazzurri from Italian Serie A rivals Juventus last month.
Beppe Marotta revealed that the player has handed in a transfer request before adding that there has been no offer received for the player.
Croatian international Perisic has been the subject of strong transfer interest from Arsenal in the last two days and the winger is keen to secure a transfer to the Premier League.
He has been a long-term target for three-time European champions Manchester United.
Perisic came close to joining the Red Devils in the summer of 2017 but his transfer fell through after Inter Milan demanded that Manchester United met their asking price.
He has endured a frustrating season for Inter Milan till date after netting just three goals since the start of the campaign.
Perisic has not built on a fantastic summer which saw him contribute immensely to the Croatian national team that surprisingly reached the World Cup final last summer.
