Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan are ready to take midfielder Mesut Ozil off Arsenal hands in the current January transfer window.
Mesut Ozil has polarised opinions amongst fans and pundits alike following his lack of playing time at Arsenal.
The German player is not in the long-term plans of Arsenal manager Unai Emery and the Gunners will find it hard to get his £350,000 weekly wages off the Arsenal books.
Ozil signed a contract extension at Arsenal in February 2018 and the German is the highest earner in the history of the club.
His current deal with the Gunners does not expire until the end of the 2020/21 season.
Inter Milan will only sign Mesut Ozil on loan if they can pay just half of his weekly salary with the Gunners responsible for the other half.
This is according to the publication from the Daily Star.
It was revealed that a potential Inter Milan transfer could pave the way for Ivan Perisic to join the Gunners.
Arsenal have already submitted a loan offer to sign the Croatian international player for the rest of the season with the option to sign him in the summer but the Nerazzurri are holding for a permanent deal.
