English Premier League leaders Liverpool have handed a new long-term deal to Tom Clayton as a reward for his impressive performance at the club.

Tom Clayton is well known by English fans especially by football fans in the Merseyside club because of his exploit at the Youth level which is now being rewarded.

The young sensation was handed his debut by the then-manager Steven Gerrard in the 2017/2018 season when he first joined the club. In that same season, he had 19 appearances under his belt across all competitions to become the team’s most valuable asset.

The impressive performance for Tom Clayton is still unchanged under new U19 manager Barry Lewtas which has also been rewarded with 14 appearances so far this season.

There is no doubt about the talent in Tom Clayton which makes the Red seek to keep him at the club to continue his progress before standing the chance of competing for a role in the first team.

However, the news was made public by Tom Clayton who took to his twitter handle to make the announcement and expressed his delight at the development.

The next few years for Tom Clayton will be very significant in determining if he really has a future at the Anfield or not.
